Challenge:
Design a composition for an urban audience that shows an anonymous person happily shopping in the Spring while showcasing the Shops at 69th Street logo. Formats applied were newspaper ad, large-scale SEPTA subway station poster, and SEPTA subway car poster.
Solution:
The silhouetted person gives anonymity allowing focus on the accessories and colorful shopping bags which draw the eye down to the blooming flowers giving focus to the Shops at 69th Street logos. The simple color scheme and background counterbalance the text heavy shop listing. Curling vines, the colorful butterfly and the wavy headline create a playful feel of Spring.
